Program Description:
Hong Kong Sunset CityscapeOVERVIEW
SCAD Study Abroad and the School of Fashion are pleased to announce Bridging the Gap: Creative Process and Mass Production. This winter-break excursion invites students to gain a global perspective on all aspects of jewelry, from creative design thinking, to resourcing and manufacturing processes. Students will travel to Hong Kong and mainland China to meet with leading industry professionals by visiting design houses, manufacturing facilities and research labs. The field-based research component of this program may serve as a critical stepping stone to future achievements in the students’ academic and professional growth. This excursion offers students the opportunity to develop their individual creativity and technical skills in jewelry design and studio art in the multi-faceted, culturally stimulating, creative environment of Hong Kong.
